MALFNKTION is the electronic music project of Bangalore's Aditya Alamuru. Founded in 2014, his music is influenced heavily by hip-hop, bass and electronica, which he infuses with old Indian film music and instrumentation as well as audio recordings collected from cities and remote parts of the country. In 2018, he was chosen for the USA-based OneBeat residency program. His monthly broadcoast on Boxout.fm, Lazy Sundays, features downtempo and laid back grooves from around the globe.
